Pirates of the Burning Sea (PC) IPO announced

Pirates of the Burning Sea, an MMORPG for PC scheduled for June 2007, will debut on the simExchange on Friday, December 22, 2006. It will be categorized under the Role-Playing genre. Pirates of the Burning Sea is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game set in the 18th Century Caribbean. The player takes the role of a ship captain and can choose to take the path of a pirate, privateer, naval officer, or merchant.

The game features a completely player driven economy. Players will engage in Player vs Environment (PVE) and Player vs Player (PVP) Combat that centers around capturing enemy nations' ports. Nations that work together the best will dominate. Combat is real-time and tactical and involves real factors found in ship-to-ship combat.

This game is expected to be released in June 2007. The game is currently in beta testing.
