In MySims DS, you start by using a Create-A-Sim tool to create your character. Then, you move into a house in a resort town where you goal is to revitalize the place so that more people and tourists will come.
This is done by partaking in several activities such as being active in sports, landscaping, even reviving the forest area so that more animals will come. There are many minigames, such as unearthing rare and unique items. Each different activity will have a direct affect to the appearance of the town. Your main goal is to increase the town to a 5-star level, which is the best possible rating. Your character will also be able to customize the house and also purchase different outfits.
Online play has not been announced, nor possible connectivity options with the Wii version.
In short, MySims DS looks set to challenge the Animal Crossing series of games and to an extent, similar games such as the Harvest Moon series.
