Electronic Arts Inc's (NASDAQ: ERTS) Def Jam: Icon for the Xbox 360 and the PS3 will debut on the simExchange on Friday, February 16, 2007. It will be categorized under the Fighting genre. Shares for the Xbox 360 version will open for purchase at 35 DKP (forecasts 350,000 copies sold worldwide over lifetime) and the PS3 version will open for purchase at 25 DKP. The game will be released in North America on March 6, 2007. The game listing was submitted by Spikeystitch. The summary of the game is:
Def Jam: Icon is the third game in the Def Jam series of hip-hop fighting games. For those new to the series, Def Jam games have the player take the role of a real-life hip-hop superstar like Sean Paul, Ludacris, or Lil Jon and battle in physical hand-to-hand combat. This is the first Def Jam game not developed by Aki Corporation. Previous games were more wrestling oriented, but Icon instead incorporates streetfighting, tae kwon do, capoeira, etc. You can choose from over 35 artists and fight in various venues from strip clubs to gas stations, from an Atlanta neighborhood to BET’s 106 & Park.
Unique to the Def Jam gameplay is the hip-hop soundtrack will actually affect the fight. Artists are more powerful when their song is on. Hazardous events will occur during certain beats of the song so players can time their attacks to combo with hazards by listening to the beats. Your attacks will also do more damage if they hit with the beat of the music.
Many players on the simExchange are new to stock trading and as a result are unfamiliar with the need to diversify. The basic idea is that you don’t want all your eggs in the same basket. The deeper financial theory is that your risk-return ratio is better the more you diversify away the risk of individual stocks.
Many players have been experiencing problems as they are locked up in very large positions of just a few stocks. Other players are impacted by these problems when those undiversified players decide to dump their very large position to jump to a new very large position when the stocks they picked are not going their way.
The simExchange is experimenting with a new rule where players cannot have positions that exceed a certain portion of their net worth. Individual positions for new players (accounts less than three days old) are limited to 15% of the player's net worth. Individual positions for regular players (accounts older than three days) are limited to 25% of the player's net worth. Individual positions for veteran players (accounts older than two months) are limited to 35% of the player's net worth.
Please report any irregular behavior (such as bugs) from the system you may experience as a result of these new changes.

Electronic Arts Inc's (NASDAQ: ERTS) Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 for the Wii will debut on the simExchange on Monday, February 12, 2007. It will be categorized under the Sports genre. For added realism, the game will detect how you open the face of your "club" to determine draw or fade in your swing. Fortunately, you can take practice swings before hitting the ball for "real." Though the game isn’t without videogame factors--you can improve the spin of the ball by shaking the Wiimote while pressing a direction on the D-pad.
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 features 35 golfers and 18 different courses, including real PGA locations and fantasy places. There are over 3000 items that can be acquired from the Pro Shop to customize your golfer. The game features same console multiplayer for four players but no online multiplayer. Like previous games, there are several modes to play, including six new modes. The game also features 480p widescreen graphics.

Sega's Sonic and the Secret Rings for the Wii will debut on the simExchange on Friday, February 9, 2007. It will be categorized under the Adventure genre. Shares will open for purchase at 100 DKP (forecasts 1 million copies sold worldwide over lifetime). The game will be released in North America on February 20, 2007, in Japan on March 15, 2007, and in Europe on March 2, 2007. The game listing was submitted by DSN989 and championed by Jaded_Alyx. The summary of the game is:
Sonic and the Secret Rings is a new Sonic game developed exclusively for the Wii, not to be confused with the recent Sonic the Hedgehog games released for Xbox 360 and PS3. This adventure begins with Sonic turning the pages of the classic book, 1001 Arabian Nights, when the genie from the story appears and seeks Sonic’s help. An evil Djinn is draining the book and pages are disappearing. According to prophecy (the story not included in most editions of the 1001 Arabian Nights), is that a blue hedgehog must defeat the evil Djinn. The genie gives Sonic a ring that allows him to travel into the book, recover the missing pages, and set the story back in order.
The game is designed to utilize the Wiimote. Unlike previous 3D Sonic games and most platformer games, Sonic moves on a rails system where you do not have to press anything for him to move forward, he just goes forward. You hold the Wiimote horizontally between your two hands like you do with a regular controller. Tilting the controller right or left will direct Sonic to turn in that direction. Turning the controller towards yourself will make Sonic walk backwards. The “2” button makes Sonic jump. Holding it for a period of time will make Sonic slow down and eventually stop. Letting go will cause Sonic to make a high jump. Sonic will be able to slow down time and gain 100 abilities through an RPG-like level up system.
The game features 70 different missions and 40 multiplayer minigames that make use of the Wiimote.
